Throughout human history, communities of people have been faced with oppression, persecution, exploitation and genocide. Change is made by people not complying, not budging, not moving, not giving an inch even in the face of these brutalities.
This song, featuring South African vocal group Cula Mzansi, led by legendary singer and activist Stella Khumalo, strives to connect and pay respect to these acts of defiance, from their own roots fighting the Apartheid regime, right down to the current struggle of the Palestinian people, and on to all other forms of resistance against oppressors throughout history and across the world.
All proceeds of this single donated via Bandcamp will go to Gaza Mutual Aid Collective, offering much needed relief to the people suffering in Gaza. We realize this is far from the only conflict in the world at this point, but believe it’s the most pressing issue right now that needs our vocal AND financial support.
